OUR STORY
In 2019, Sway Coffee Roasters was founded in Kansas City by the same people behind McLain’s Bakery + Markets. We began roasting coffee with the idea of opening a cafe where we serve excellent coffee with a down-to-earth attitude. In September 2022, we opened our flagship roasting space and cafe at 2700 W 43rd Ave, in Kansas City, Kansas. We hope to be a place where you can enjoy an excellent cup of coffee, get some work done, connect with friends and family, or just escape the busyness of life for a little.
Our coffees are sourced and traded with producers and farmers who prepare quality coffee crops. Their work is the beginning steps for a good cup of coffee. For example, our house brew is produced by a non-profit cooperative based in the village of San Lucas, Guatemala. We aim to partner with smaller farms and producers that are invested in their environment and communities. By sourcing our coffee this way we’re doing our part in securing a sustainable future.
